Chermia Amour has created one of a kind designs and customizations for a number of clients and celebrities including Legendary Grammy Award winning Mary J. Blige, singer and actress Willow Smith, and Reality TV star and young Mogul Angela Simmons. Chermia Amour has also been featured on FashionBombDaily.com. She's earned additional acknowledgement from BET Networks, where her Instagram page (@ChermiaAmour) was featured as the Top Social Media Sources to Follow. Immediately after, Chermia's handpainted handbags and canvas paintings were also featured in the Emmy nominated web-series titled "Tough Love".
Chermia Lucas launched her Fashion Art brand, Chermia Amour. Hence, the French word Amour translates to Love Affair. Captivated by nature and life experiences, Chermia begin creating whimsical fun hand-painted floral designs and funky personalized designs on leather clutches. This sparked an interest to paint what she loved on any and everything. Chermia would host private paint parties and showcase them for family and friends special occasions. These Art parties evolved into an entertainment experience that quickly became a sensation. Chermia Amour started servicing Private Art Parties for corporate events, fundraisers, and hosting paint nights at popular Caribbean Soul Food Restaurant, Alvin and Friends located in downtown New Rochelle, NY.
However, it was in the process of hosting yet another successful Art experience with the inner city youth amongst the Tri-State area that Chermia found her true niche. Anybody can be an Artist, but it takes true talent to teach. Through the Arts, Chermia Amour has offered mentorship and self confidence paint seminars for New York City Public Schools.
Chermia Amour designs are literally walking canvases. Rather it be hand-painted sneakers, handbags, or Canvas paintings. It's intriguing. It's a statement piece. This is the existence of Chermia Amour and the reason why staying true to yourself is more important than following flaky trends.
